MEET THE CREW
After 15 years as an engineer in Steel, Automotive, Aircraft and Fiber Optics I decided it was time to pursue my own business. Following recipes and traditions passed on from my from my family I started my distillery on the banks of the Saxtons River in Cambridgeport, Vermont. In 2006 I was working out of my lightly heated barn, making every bottle myself as well as trying to market and promote throughout the Northeast. When the distillery moved to Brattleboro in 2011 my family and I soon followed and now reside in Brattleboro as well.
Tim Guarente is our assistant distiller and inventory manager. He has worked as a bicycle mechanic, an early educator, and has worked in coffee shops and tea houses. He is a hobby musician and refurbishes instruments when they find their way to him. Tim and his partner Katrina have a son who is the Action Baby of the distillery, and they live in Brattleboro.
Marketing & Mixology
Drew Kacick Drew, a 20+ yr. bartender, has held just about every job in the service industry. Starting as a bar-back and slowly working his way up to manager/lead bartender, he honed his skills as a mixologist in Sarasota, Florida. As a member of the Tampa Bay United States Bartender’s Guild he had the opportunity to work with world famous mixologists and brand ambassadors.
Drew grew up right here in Windham County, in Putney. He attended Brattleboro Union High School and then college in Connecticut and California. After travelling across the United States, he found his roots back in the home town of Saxtons River Distillery, Brattleboro, VT. Look for him at special events highlighting creative mixologists and unique ways using our hand crafted spirits. After all, his favorite cocktail is Sapling Rye "Fire On The Mountain"; hot pepper infused rye blended with hot VT apple cider, nutmeg and cinnamon.

They strongly desired to assimilate into American society, but kept alive familiar Lithuanian traditions and customs, including making flavorful liqueurs. The tradition of crafting fine liqueurs has been passed from generation to generation, and we are pleased to share our unique liqueur with you.
Saxtons River Distillery Vermont spirits combine old-world heritage with the flavor of Vermont. I gained appreciation for maple syrup while living in Vermont and visiting the sugar houses of friends in spring. Understanding the amount of work required to produce quality maple syrup has given me profound respect for the final product. With a nod to family tradition and the tradition of Vermont, I offer you the unique taste of Saxtons River Distillery spirits."
